A little about Tradie Cam
Cameron grew up in South-Western Sydney and at the age of 16 he left high-school to start a Carpentry Apprenticeship. After 5 years learning and working with knowledgeable builders, in 2008, Cameron started his own business which he ran for 10years.
Cameron built anything and everything from decks, pergolas, sheds and framing new houses.
In 2015 Cameron also started working on Service Stations for Alison's petroleum company, installing fuel lines, fuel bowsers and concreting forecourts.
Cameron and Alison started travelling Australia in 2018.
During their travels they saw a desperate need for tradies in outback towns. As soon as people find out you're a carpenter they have a job to be done, and this saw Cameron fixing fencers and completing small renovations in houses and offices wherever we travelled.
In 2020, after renovating an office and amenities block at a caravan park near Darwin NT, Cameron accepted a job at Charlotte Plains Station to upgrade the facilities. This 3month role expanded to Cameron and Alison accepting the 'Tourism Manager' position and living on the station for 18months.
From there Cameron has gone on to weld cattle yards in Warwick QLD, build a deck, roof a donga and concrete slab horse sheds at Pinnacle Wagyu station in Roma QLD and erect a 16m x 16m x 6m shed at a station in Dalby QLD.
Cameron is increasing his working station skills with every property we stop at and has mustered, lamb-marked and assisted in pig, cattle and lamb breeding programs.
